If you need to add or remove tracks, or otherwise edit your tracklist, you can do that an any time — as long as your release has not been submitted for distribution. Keep in mind that the tracklist will be locked if your audio has already been uploaded. To make changes, you’ll need to remove the audio, update your tracklist, and reupload your audio files.
How to remove your uploaded audio
- Log in at members.cdbaby.com
- Click the Albums & Singles tab
- Click View/Edit next to your release
- Important: if you see a button that says "I NEED TO MAKE CHANGES" on your Title Overview page, click this first. This will take your release out of the inspection queue so you can make edits.
- Expand the Tracks & Audio section
- Click Add/Edit Audio
- Click the Remove all tracks button (purple)
- Click Save and Continue to return to the Title Overview page
How to edit your tracklist
- From the Title Overview page, expand the Tracks & Audio section
- Click Add/Remove Tracks & Volumes
- Adjust the number of tracks or volumes as needed
- Update track titles as needed
- Click Save and Continue
- On the next page (Track Menu), update any track-level info that may have changed:
- Songwriter credits
- Composition type
- Track language, etc.
How to reupload your audio
- Return to the Title Overview page
- Click Add/Edit Audio
- Upload your new audio files
- Click Save and Continue
Things to note
- You can only make these edits before submitting your release for distribution.
- Once your release has been finalized for distribution, edits to the track list require cancelling the release and starting over. Learn how to cancel a release.
- Always double-check your track details and audio files before finalizing.
