If you distributed your music to iHeartRadio through CD Baby, your tracks may still not appear in their website search. This is normal, because iHeartRadio only makes certain artists searchable. Your music can still be available on the platform even if you don’t appear in search results.
How iHeartRadio search works
- Only artists who are part of iHeartRadio’s internal catalog and have their own artist station appear in search results.
- CD Baby’s delivery to iHeartRadio adds your music to their catalog, but it does not create a searchable artist store or profile. CD Baby cannot request or create searchable artist pages on iHeartRadio.
What this means for your release
- Your tracks may play on iHeartRadio or appear in listener stations, even if searching your artist name or song title returns no results.
- Many new or independent artists will not appear in search even though their music is available on the platform.
What you can do
- Some artists choose to register with a cataloging service such as AllMusic, which may help their music populate an artist store on iHeartRadio.
- This step is optional and not required for your release to be available on the platform.
