Why aren't certain languages supported?
To ensure a smooth shopping experience for listeners, Apple Music and iTunes require specific metadata formatting for some languages.
Chinese and Hebrew are among the most commonly affected. These platforms often require two versions of the language metadata—such as both simplified and traditional Chinese—which CD Baby does not currently support.
CD Baby cannot meet these formatting requirements at this time, so releases in these languages may not be delivered to Apple Music or iTunes.
What can I do if my release wasn't delivered to Apple iTunes because of a language issue?
If your release was affected, you can continue with distribution to all other CD Baby partner platforms that do not have the same language restrictions.
If Apple/iTunes delivery is essential and CD Baby cannot meet your needs, you can request a refund.
