NOTE:
We are NOT tax professionals. If you have any questions please contact someone who is!
For digital and physical sales (whether on our now-retired retail store or with one of our partners) we do not send you any kind of tax information. Like any other earned income, you will need to report it to any tax authority to which you are subject.
That said, here's how you can download your sales history for various types of sales. Click on each link to take you to that section or scroll through.

ROYALTY REVENUE
Our CD Baby Pro clients will get a 1099 from us if they are paid more than $10 in royalties for the year. The 1099 reported income is based on earnings paid during the year, not earned for the year.
So, just because you earn more than $10 in publishing royalties for the year does not mean you will receive a 1099.
You can get a breakdown of the Pro Royalty reports which are posted to your account quarterly.
Pro royalty report:
- Log into your account
- Click Sales and Reports
- Click on Sales and Accounting
- Below the DOWNLOADS header on the left click on "Pro Publishing Royalty Reports"
- Choose which quarter you need results for from the drop-down menu
- Click on DOWNLOAD
- This will generate a .txt file you can save to your computer and open in any spreadsheet program
LICENSING ROYALTIES
In this section, you will find income from any sync licensing opportunities or content ID matches from the social video monetization program.
