Why can't my classical release be delivered to Apple?

While CD Baby distributes classical genre music to most digital platforms, we’re currently unable to send classical releases to iTunes and Apple Music because Apple requires additional metadata and formatting that our system doesn’t support.

Please note that this doesn’t impact any classical releases that have already been delivered; their availability will continue to be subject to Apple’s discretion.

For wider distribution, you may want to choose to re-categorize your release as "Instrumental", or another related genre, as they don’t have the same additional metadata requirements.
