Here’s how to switch distributors today:

1) Sign up your single or album and submit for distribution. Please make sure to use the exact same metadata such as artist names, song titles, album title, ISRC, and UPC.

2) Once your music is live, please contact your old distributor and notify them that they should remove your music from their distribution channels.

Previous Play Counts

As long as you're moving your project to CD Baby while maintaining the exact same metadata, there shouldn't be any change to your play counts on the various platforms. However, CD Baby has no way of controlling that, and can't guarantee that all partners will maintain the play counts, playlist listings, or reviews.
