You can customize your artist profile on Apple Music and iTunes through Apple Music for Artists. Once you’ve claimed your profile, you’ll be able to update your artist photo and bio so fans see your most current image and information. This guide explains how to request access, fix common access issues, and upload your artist photo.
How to Request Access
- From your CD Baby Dashboard, click Tools and Promotion.
- On the next page, click Apple Music for Artists – Request Access Now or click here to start.
- Click Get Started under your artist name. This opens Apple’s platform.
- If you distribute multiple artists, make sure to select the correct name from the dropdown.
- Sign in using your Apple ID (the same one used for iTunes or App Store purchases).
- Don’t have one? You can create a new Apple ID here.
- Follow Apple’s on-screen steps to complete your request.
- It can take several days for Apple to approve access to your artist profile.
Troubleshooting Access Issues
If you see the message “You don't have any titles signed up with Apple Music” but your music is live, here’s what might be happening:
- Your release is on another artist page – You’ll need to request an artist separation.
- You recently completed an artist separation – Your page might still be populating. Access will be available once Apple finishes creating your new artist page.
- Your artist name uses Cyrillic characters – Submit a request here and include your Apple Artist ID so our team can link your account.
How to Add or Change Your Artist Photo

- File format: .jpg or .png
