If you previously opted in to MLC collection through CDB Boost and want to cancel, you can do so from your CDB Boost opt-in page within your CD Baby account.
How to cancel MLC Collection
- Log in to your CD Baby account and navigate to your 'Albums & Singles' page.
- Click 'View/Edit' next to the release you wish to update.
- On the Title Overview page, scroll to the 'CDB Boost' section and click to expand.
- Click 'Edit Boost Opt-Ins.'
- Find the MLC option and toggle it off to opt out.
Things to note
- Cancellation is permanent. Once you cancel MLC collection through your CD Baby account, it cannot be reversed.
- Timing: The cancellation will take effect at the end of the current quarter.
- Example:
- Cancel in May → takes effect at the end of June
- Cancel in October → takes effect at the end of December
- Example:
- You’ll receive an email confirmation once your cancellation has been processed, including the effective date.
- Wait 30 days after the cancellation date before signing up directly with The MLC or another provider to prevent delays in royalty processing.
- You may still see royalties from The MLC appear in your CD Baby account for a short period after the cancellation takes effect.
