If your release isn't appearing on Facebook, Instagram or TikTok, it's possible the content was reviewed, found ineligible for social video monetization (SVM), and removed by our team — even if it was previously live. The opt-in toggle in your account isn't a reliable way to check this, since it can still show "on" after removal. To confirm what's actually happening, check the release's distribution status.
Quick summary
Most common cause: content was reviewed, deemed ineligible for SVM, and removed. The opt-in toggle can still show "on" after removal — check Title Overview → Distribution → Partner Delivery for the real status instead. Only Facebook and TikTok show a status row there; that status also reflects YouTube Content ID, since removal applies to the recording as a whole. Removed or Removal Submitted confirms the content was taken down — this is final, with no appeal or resubmission.
Why this happens
Content opted in to SVM goes through a review process to confirm it's eligible for the automated matching systems these platforms use. Content found ineligible is removed, even if it was previously live.

How to check SVM status
The opt-in toggle only reflects your original opt-in choice, not the content's current live status — don't rely on it. To check the actual status:
- Go to Title Overview
- Select Distribution
- Open Partner Delivery
- Find the row for Facebook or TikTok
- Check the status listed for that platform
- Delivered — Currently distributed to that platform
- Removed / RemovalSubmitted — Taken down and no longer live
YouTube Content ID doesn't have its own row in Partner Delivery. Since eligibility review applies to the recording itself — not one platform at a time — the Facebook or TikTok status also reflects YouTube Content ID, as long as the release was opted in to Facebook and/or TikTok delivery. If it's opted in to YouTube Content ID only, there's no status row to check directly — contact CD Baby Support to confirm.
Delivered but still not showing up right on Facebook or Instagram?
If Partner Delivery shows the release status as 'Delivered' but you're still not seeing it, confirm if you've delivered the same or a similar recording to Meta (Facebook/Instagram) more than once, for example as a single and later on an album.
Meta keeps the metadata from the first delivery it ever received for a recording rather than updating it with a newer submission. If a later release's metadata never appears, this is usually why — the delivery succeeded, but Meta is still displaying information from the earlier one. This is how it works:
- Same recording, same ISRC: Meta always treats these as one entry. The only way to make the newer metadata take over is to cancel delivery of the earlier release from Meta.
- Similar version, different ISRC (for example, a Remix or Radio Edit): Meta can still sometimes merge these together. Contact CD Baby support in this case — we can ask Meta to separate the two tracks so both are available on their own. This only works when the tracks have distinct ISRCs.
Can I appeal or resubmit removed content?
No. SVM ineligibility removals are final — there's no appeal or resubmission process. This doesn't affect your regular distribution to streaming or download platforms; it only affects social video monetization. Frequently asked questions
Why was my content removed if it was live before? Content can be reviewed and found ineligible even after initially going live. Once that determination is made, it's removed — this can happen at any point, not just at delivery.
Does this affect my release on streaming or download platforms too? No. This only affects distribution to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Content ID through social video monetization.
I'm specifically trying to find my music in Instagram's Reels/Stories music picker — is that the same thing? It's related. SVM is what makes your music available in Instagram's music picker for Stories and Reels. If your content was removed for ineligibility, it won't appear there either. See How to get your music on Instagram Stories and Reels for details on that feature, including the 30-day delivery window.
