If you’ve received a CD Baby download card, you can redeem it for a free download of the release. This article explains the step-by-step process for redeeming your card and what to do if your code doesn’t work.
Steps to Redeem Your Download Card
- Go to the Redeem Download Card page here.
- Enter your 12-digit code, including the dash, and click “Redeem Card.”
- Log into your existing CD Baby account or create a new one.
- You’ll see an order confirmation number (also called a Sales Order (SO) number).
- This will also be emailed to you for your records.
- Click “Get Your Downloads” to access your music.

What If My Code Is Invalid?
- Double-check the characters:
- The letter O could be the number 0.
- A capital I might look like a lowercase L.
- A capital B could resemble an 8.
- If you’re still having trouble:
- Submit a request to our customer service team.
- Include:
- The code you entered
- Artist name
- Album name (printed on the card)
- We’ll verify the code for you.
