*A note regarding CD Baby Pro Publishing
A sub-publisher is a company that is assigned the right to administer songs in specific territories. There are some countries and territories where CD Baby Publishing is not directly affiliated with the local Performance Rights Organization (PRO). However, we still want to be able to collect publishing royalties generated in those countries and territories, and offer CD Baby Pro Publishing to songwriters who live there too.
To do this, we assign the right to administer your works to a publishing company that is active in that territory and who already has an established relationship with the local PRO. This allows us to ensure your works are registered directly with the PROs in those territories.

*The CD Baby Pro Publishing service was discontinued as of August 8th, 2023. Any paid release which was signed up for CD Baby Pro Publishing prior to August 8th, 2023 is considered a legacy Pro release and will continue to receive Pro Publishing services. CD Baby now offers a new expanded suite of revenue amplifiers called “CDB Boost” instead.
