During sign-up, you can indicate whether your release is an album (two tracks or more) or a single (just one track.) We recommend that your album contain no more than 50 tracks. However, the maximum number of tracks allowed is 100. Additionally, you should aim for a maximum of 80 minutes.
You'll also want to take into consideration what a listener/fan might experience, especially if they download a release with over 50 tracks. We also can't guarantee a successful delivery for albums that have 5 or more hours of content.
On average, many albums have about 10-15 tracks.
If you have over 50 tracks on your album, you will not be able to upload audio from within your account. You will have to send us a disc for us to pull the audio. Doing so may delay your release, so make sure to account for that time.
To update the number of tracks on your album, you can follow the steps here: How do I make edits to my track list?
This is only applicable to albums that are not completed/distributed. The track number cannot be edited on albums that have been finalized.
