*A note regarding CD Baby Pro Publishing
If you play live shows in Brazil and have a legacy CD Baby Pro release, there may be steps you need to take in order to perform your songs at certain venues.
If you have a legacy CD Baby Pro Publishing release, CD Baby then becomes your publishing administrator for the songs included in your submission.
If the venue is asking you to release your own works that are signed up for CD Baby Pro, you might need to contact us to help you through the process with your PRO and ECAD. Essentially, this will result in us relinquishing our claim to your publishing for that specific performance, and only for the songs you wish to perform that are signed up for CD Baby Pro Publishing.
This means you will not receive publishing performance royalties for certain songs for that specific performance. Keep in mind, this will not impact our ability to collect your publishing performance royalties from other sources.
Your PRO may tell you that you need to contact us so we can request this on your behalf. We are currently working with the Brazilian PROs on a solution that will allow songwriters to request this directly from their PRO.
In the meantime, please contact our Artist Services team for support by submitting a request here. Please include the following information in the "Description" field:
- Your PRO
- Songwriter IPI Number
- Date of performance
- Venue
- City
- Songs being performed
- Corresponding UPCs/Barcodes
Please include proof of performance if you have it. This could be a link, attachment of a concert flyer, or something of that nature.

*The CD Baby Pro Publishing service was discontinued as of August 8th, 2023. Any paid release which was signed up for CD Baby Pro Publishing prior to August 8th, 2023 is considered a legacy Pro release and will continue to receive Pro Publishing services. CD Baby now offers a new expanded suite of revenue amplifiers called “CDB Boost” instead.
