Did you receive a duplicate songwriter error message when attempting to complete the Pro Publishing Administration section of your account? If so, please keep reading!
You are receiving this error message because you’ve created a duplicate songwriter name from within your account. Your account should only have one songwriter name per individual that has opted-in for royalty collection.
For us to move forward with finalizing your publishing information, we will need to remove the duplicate songwriter from our system and apply the pre-existing songwriter to each applicable track.
If you created a second songwriter name because you had entered in the incorrect name initially, we will update your songwriter name in our system to match how it appears with your Performance Rights Organization (PRO).
Use this link to submit a request and enter "Duplicate Songwriter Error" as the Subject for your request. Include the following in the description to ensure that we get this corrected in a timely manner.
