If you have attempted to complete the “Enter current affiliation” form from the Pro Publishing Administration section of your account and you are receiving an error message, please see the information below.

- Does your songwriter name in our system match how it appears with your Performing Rights Organization (PRO)?
- Do the publisher name and IPI number you are entering match how it appears with your Performing Rights Organization (PRO)?
- If you have a self-owned publishing entity, are you signing the correct name in the signature field?
- Duplicate songwriter error
- Society Specific Issues
Are you inputting the correct IPI?
An IPI is a 8, 9, or 10-digit number assigned to you by your PRO. If you are unsure what your IPI is, you can locate it by searching your name in your PRO’s public repertoire or contacting them directly.
You may also be able to locate it from within your songwriter portal with your PRO. For more information on how to locate your IPI number, please see this Help Center article.
Is your IPI 8 digits? Some older IPI numbers are 8 digits instead of 9 or 10. You should try adding a 0 to the front of your IPI number.
Does your songwriter name in our system match how it appears with your Performing Rights Organization (PRO)?
This information can be found in the same way as your IPI number.
If the answer is no, please use this link to submit a request so we can update your songwriter name.
Once you receive confirmation from our publishing team that your songwriter name has been updated, please try filling out the “Enter current affiliation” form once more.

Please note, if you do not have your own publishing entity with your PRO, please leave the Publisher name and IPI fields blank.
If you have a self-owned publishing entity, are you signing the correct name in the signature field?
If a publisher is being entered, please provide the name of the authorized signatory for that publisher as it is listed in their PRO’s system.
