How to get your Spotify URI/Pre-Save for Show.co

If you have an account at Show.co, you now have the ability to obtain your Spotify Pre-Save directly from within your Show.co account using your barcode or through your Spotify for Artists account.  If you need to request your URI, pop on down for the instructions. 

Creating Your Spotify Pre-Save Campaign Using Your Barcode

First, make sure you've already submitted the title for digital distribution and that it has been delivered to Spotify.

Next, log into your Show.co account and click “New Campaign” and then “Spotify Pre-Save”  you will then have the option to plug in your barcode. See below:

What’s a Spotify URI and why might I need it?

Spotify URI’s are a way for Spotify to identify your release in their system, especially before your release date.
In many cases, you won’t need your URI, but sometimes you may be asked for a URI when promoting your release before it’s out. You can either get your URI from your Spotify for Artists account or by submitting a request with your distributor.
Are you setting up a Campaign on Show.co? Show.co no longer requires Spotify URI’s for campaigns. You can use your barcode to create a Pre-Save, or a regular Spotify link for Social Unlocks.

Obtaining your URI through your Spotify for Artist Account

1. First, log in to your Spotify for Artists account and go to the upcoming releases section

2. Click the "View playlist pitch" from the three dots on the right
3. Copy the URI (22 characters) that appear in URL for the pitch page immediately after "submission"
4. Add "spotify:album:" before the URI

Submitting a request for your Spotify URI

If you’re using a different service than Show.co or don't have a Spotify for Artist account, you can still get your Spotify URI by submitting a request. Or if your project has been delivered to Spotify, but is not yet live on their site yet because it has a future release date, you may need to submit a request as well.

Use this link to submit a request and under "How would you like us to contact you?" choose from the drop-down "Spotify URI/Pre-Save Request."

Include the following in the description to ensure that we get the information to you in a timely manner. 

• Bar code Number
• Project Name
• Artist Name
• Release date

We will get that to you as soon as possible!
