Many of our digital partners have parental controls available that will prevent explicit content from being displayed to children who visit their store. It is a requirement that explicit tracks are correctly labeled when an album is signed-up with us for distribution. Failure to correctly identify explicit content may result in your album being removed from one or more of our partner stores after it has been delivered.
If your content has strong language or depictions of violence, sex or substance abuse then you should mark it as explicit in the track information page.
Once your music is distributed and it is labeled as explicit, the release will display with an explicit tag or parental advisory tag.
On iTunes, explicit content will display like this.
On Spotify, explicit content will display next to the track titles title.
