As of August 7th, we have discontinued CD Baby Pro Publishing for new sign-ups

Existing paid CD Baby Pro Publishing titles (singles or albums) will not be affected, in fact, these legacy titles will be getting our new premium offer, CDB Boost, a new suite of revenue amplifiers, for free. 

✅If you have existing releases (albums or singles) that you registered through CD Baby Pro, you will continue to receive the Pro Publishing service. No action is required.

💡Additionally, if you have a PAID Pro release in your account under your "Incomplete Releases", those qualify for CDB Boost as well. 

Why are we doing this? 

We have chosen to no longer offer direct affiliations with Performance Rights Organizations. Instead, we encourage songwriters to register their works directly with their local PRO.

We are shifting resources to build solutions that will have a greater impact for independent musicians today and tomorrow. This change also allows us to focus our efforts on partnerships with royalty collection societies that value accurate per-usage remuneration, including The Mechanical Licensing Collective (The MLC) and SoundExchange.

NOTE: If you previously distributed music via CD Baby Pro, then your releases will be, or already are, registered with The MLC; no action is needed on your part to claim these mechanical royalties.

What is CDB Boost?
