How does a CD Baby Legacy Pro release work with Brazilian Collection Societies?

In Brazil, there are seven different Collective Management Organizations (CMOs). You need to be affiliated with one of these CMOs as a songwriter in order to utilize your CD Baby Legacy Pro Publishing release.  

CD Baby is only affiliated as a publisher with ABRAMUS, but we will administer your publishing regardless of which CMO you are affiliated with. If you are already affiliated with ABMRAUS, we will claim registered works and register new works with ABRAMUS. If you are affiliated with any of the other PROs listed above, we will register your works with ABRAMUS.

You will receive the songwriter share of performance royalties directly from your CMO. We will collect the publisher share of performance royalties and mechanical royalties through ABRAMUS, and pay them out to you through your CD Baby account.

Any paid release which was signed up for CD Baby Pro Publishing prior to August 8th, 2023 is considered a Legacy Pro release and will continue to receive Pro Publishing services.
